Sectional Radiators

      General information

Ceramic sectional radiators can be manufactured in a wide range of diameters.

      Diameter Ø: 16, 20, 22, 26, 32, 36, 39, 46, 56, 70 mm

They are used to heat water, oil and air. Inside the sectional radiators, moulded ceramic components and a highly heat-resistant heating wire are used as insulators. The heating wire is held in place within the ceramic in a coiled configuration.

      Specifications

The preferred installation method for sectional radiators is horizontal installation. Vertical installation can cause the heating coil to sag; special ceramics are used to prevent this.

Sectional radiators can also be equipped with temperature monitors/sensors and controlled separately.

There are a variety of possible electrical connections:

      • Threaded pins (M4, M5 or M6)

      • Motor terminal blocks

      • Connection leads

      Please also note the following:

      • The unheated zone at the connection head must be at least 50 mm

      • The sectional heater expands more during operation than the casing pipe

      • The sectional heater must be at least 50 mm (preferably 5%) shorter than the casing pipe
