Cast Iron Radiators
General information
Cast iron radiators are available in a wide variety of shapes and materials (aluminium, brass, bronze). They are suitable for heating all kinds of tools, particularly in situations where protection against plastics and/or moisture (splash water) is a priority. They are also suitable for frequent assembly and disassembly.
Any other applications require mutual consultation and must be approved and authorised by the manufacturer. The specified load limits must not be exceeded.
This product is electrical equipment. The Gebr. Bach GmbH accepts no liability for damage resulting from failure to follow the instructions.
Specifications
Heating is provided by a cast-in tubular heating element that is evenly distributed across the surface. This ensures uniform heat distribution, vibration-resistant wear protection and a long service life.
Surface temperature:
The following values are maximum surface temperatures and must not be exceeded:
Heaters with aluminium alloy: max. 450 °C
Heaters with brass alloy: max. 650 °C
Heaters with bronze alloy: max. 800 °C
Individual customer requirements can generally be accommodated following consultation and clarification of all technical details.
Safety instructions
The relevant fire safety precautions must be observed. No hazardous conditions must arise either in the heating element or in the material being heated (such as fire, explosion, smoke or gas emissions, etc.). Installation, servicing and maintenance of the heating element must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The heating elements must only be operated with a suitable temperature control system that prevents the maximum permissible operating temperature from being exceeded. In the event of power supply faults and/or damage to the electrical equipment, the heating element must be switched off immediately. Safety devices must not be bypassed, removed, modified in their function or circumvented in any other way.
Before carrying out any work on the heating element, the heating element must be disconnected from the power supply and secured against being switched on again. The specified operating temperature of the heating elements does not apply to the connecting cable. The connecting cable must be adapted to the application if necessary.
Note:
The user must ensure that the electrical connection is protected against accidental contact.
The accident prevention regulations in force at the user’s premises must be observed.
