Tubular Heaters
General information
Tubular heating elements are lightweight, highly compact heating elements. Thanks to the wide range of designs and tube materials available, tubular heating elements are suitable for a variety of applications in industrial heating technology: commercial kitchen equipment, domestic appliances, liquid heating, tool heating, air heating, and mechanical and plant engineering.
Specifications
Tubular heating elements are made from stainless steel alloys suitable for the medium to be heated. The central heating wire is surrounded by compacted magnesium oxide powder. This powder provides electrical insulation for the heating wire and offers high thermal conductivity combined with high insulation resistance.

Installation and commissioning
Care must be taken during installation to avoid deforming the heating element. Difficult installation conditions should be taken into account at the design stage. The heating elements must only be operated with a suitable temperature control system.
Storage:
The heating element must be stored in a dry, dust-free environment. If stored in too humid conditions, the insulation material used may absorb moisture, creating a risk of short circuit.
